Formed in late 2023, sadplanet comprises Kyra Ho (vocals), Nick Rainey (guitar), Aiden Knowles (guitar), Jeff Baker (drums) and Dan Lawrence (bass). With a sound characterised by lush, layered instrumentation, sadplanet masterfully blends impactful percussion, grooving basslines, harmonious and cathartic guitars, and sweet, soothing vocals paired with thoughtful lyrics. Their unique fusion of shoegaze and dream-pop, sprinkled with indie and electronic elements, offers a refreshing take on the shoegaze revival. Oliver Beardmore Oliver’s new direction defines a sonic palate which places him at the end of a more avant-garde lineage: inspired sonically by shoegaze and dream pop royalty My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive but with a melodic sensibility more akin to Lorde and Mazzy Star. Born Again Virgin Born Again Virgin is an act from Austin, Texas now based in London, England consisting of solo artist Anna Roenigk. Her first self-titled EP, produced by Brian Beattie (Daniel Johnston, Bill Callahan, Okkervil River), was released independently in 2017. The EP explores both dissonant and melodic sensibilities—some tracks echoing 90’s lo-fi grunge (“Limited Hands”) while others, such as the last track “No Albi,” plays on chamber pop theatrics. The single "Nothing in Your Eyes" and "Spider in the Snow" followed in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Since 2020, Roenigk has teamed up with French producer Emmanuelle LeCann and co-produced singles "King of the World" and "This Town Isn't Shit Without You." Their newest single "Bird of Prey" released March 27th with an accompanying music video written by Roenigk and Tom Patrick Coley. Daisy Chain Daisy Chain are a four-piece indie pop band based in London and Kent, drawing inspiration from early Britpop, shoegaze and the C86 sound. Their debut EP ‘Anyone But You’ will be streaming everywhere this summer.
